Author Bio:

Prior to writing novels, Lars Guignard wrote for film and television. As a teenager he attended boarding school in the Indian Himalayas and his experiences there provided the inspiration for the Zoe and Zak series which now include: Zoe & Zak and the Ghost Leopard and Zoe & Zak and theYogi’s Curse.

He now makes his home in the Pacific Northwest where he is busy completing the third Zoe & Zak adventure for release in Fall 2013.

My thoughts:

As soon as I started reading this I knew I was going to like it even though I am not a middle grade child but about to adventure college life. I liked the way Zoe and Zak friendships have grown, yes they still annoy each other occasionally but when the going gets tough they are solid friends who will do anything for each other which is just as well as their adventure leads them into some scary things including starting a new boarding school in the Himalayan mountains. The book was lots of magic and fantasy and everything a child in particular would love but really I think any aged person would enjoy it. I was well written and the story flowed really well.
