Days out and Places to go

This year I really want to make the most of Phoebe being so little. Really take in every little detail and make the best memories. Phoebe was born January 2020 two months before our first lockdown. As a new first time mum and Phoebe being so little we missed out on so much. Our first baby photoshoot, our first time swimming, mum and baby classes and the list goes on.

Phoebe is now two! So today I thought I would share a list of top 5 places to go and things to do, with hope that it helps you plan some days out with your little one(s) and when we enjoy some of these activities we can share with you over on Instagram and here.

Number 1

Swimming, swimming doesn’t cost very much and is fun for the whole family. We took Phoebe swimming for the first time on her birthday and she absolutely loved it! We booked an hour time slot which was plenty of time and then we went out for breakfast after, which was really lovely for her and really didn’t cost a lot of money at all, also because of covid our local swimming pool only does 1 hour time slots with limited spaces and we so happened to go on a day that only 4 other people were there, so we pretty much had the pool to ourselves.

Number 2

The Zoo, this has always been one of my favourite places to go even as a child, but I still get excited now. I do think the summer is the best time to go to the zoo however it isn’t a seasonal thing and you can still enjoy whatever weather or season. Some zoos can be quite pricey but if you have a little look and shop around you may find that the colder months are a lot more affordable.

Number 3

The Farm, local farms are usually affordable and great fun for children, we’ve been taking Phoebe to the farm since she was around 6 months, she loves animals and now she’s older she really takes it all in and loves to tell us what the animals are what noises they make, it is always really nice to sit down for lunch/picnic too afterwards. Also gives them the chance to learn too!

Number 4

Soft play, I think this is the most fun place to take your little one(s), I know for sure phoebe absolutely loves running around letting off that extra steam bouncing and jumper and just playing. Soft play is definitely her favourite place to go and she always tries making little friends which is actually adorable (being a pandemic baby she hasn’t actually been in contact with many children) Our local soft play costs around £5 for 2hrs which is affordable and they absolutely love it, there’s always more than one play centre too so changing it up for them is always good too! We have a local soft play which also is a trampoline place too which you can pay extra for, we haven’t taken her there yet but it is on our to do list for this year!

Lastly Number 5

The Park, children love the park, it’s free and a place you can just go whenever you like, I still take Phoebe to the park in the colder months because it gets her out the house for a little while and she’s in a safe environment she can run around until her hearts content. Some parks also have lovely little walls too and we always find walks do us both the world of good and is so calm and peaceful. Local to us there’s a lake you can walk around with a park but also lots of ducks you can take them to feed which is an added bonus.

There are so many things you and your children can go out and do and these were just some of them, you also have the beach, role play centres, mum and baby/toddler groups, fairgrounds, Peppa pig world, CBeebies world, there’s so much you can do! So there’s my top 5 days out and places to go and of course they are all affordable too. I hope you enjoyed this different styled post from me and there’s so much more I can’t wait to write about soon!

as always
